We collect the following information:

• Email Address: Your email address is collected when you create an account.
• Last Location: We store your last known location to enhance your experience within the App.
• Post and Comment Locations: Whenever you create a Post or Comment, we save the current location associated with that content.
• Human Verification Metadata: When you complete our human-verification flow we generate a GrapeVine Social managed verification wallet and store the hashes, proofs, and signatures needed to attest to your verification status. This metadata never includes your posts, comments, or personal wallet addresses.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and Improve Services: Enhance the functionality and user experience of the App.
• Personalize Content: Tailor content and features based on your location data.
• Communicate with You: Send important updates, notifications, or respond to your inquiries.
• Issue Verifiable Credentials: Publish anonymized verification hashes to the Base blockchain and make them available to partners so they can confirm that GrapeVine Social issued your human-verification credential.

3. Data Storage and Security

• Data Storage: All collected information is stored securely on our servers. Verification hashes and proofs may also be written to Base (an L2 built on Ethereum) so that third parties can independently confirm your verification status.
• Data Retention: We retain your information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy or as required by law.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties except in the following circumstances:

• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
• Protecting Rights: To protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users or others.
• Verification Transparency: When you share your verification link, the recipient can view the GrapeVine Social managed verification wallet and proof bundle we generated for you. Partners that rely on GrapeVine Social public verification endpoint or smart contract receive only the cryptographic data needed to confirm your credential.

5. Third-Party Services

Our App does not integrate with third-party services that collect additional personal information. Partners that consume our verification status do so through GrapeVine Social operated APIs or smart contracts; they do not gain access to your posts, comments, or account data.

6. Your Rights and Choices

• Account Deletion: When you delete your account, all your content and data are permanently removed from our servers and cannot be recovered. We also invalidate your verification credential so it can no longer be used.
• Content Deletion: When you delete specific content (such as Posts or Comments), it is permanently removed from our servers and cannot be recovered.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal information from a child, we will delete such information promptly.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App, and the revised policy will be effective immediately upon posting. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.
